Whether you’re dwelling over something that happened a week, a month, or even a year ago, it’s something you can’t control anymore. Why continue to be sad about the past when you have the present to worry about?
Allah (swt) had mentioned the affairs of previous nations.
“That was a nation who has passed away..”
-Surah al-Baqarah, Ayah 134
Live today as if it was your last day on earth and always say Alhamdulilah for living another day. Never be upset about what has happened yesterday as today is a new day and tomorrow, you will make it an even better day. An individual should recite Qur’an, pray the five daily prayers as needed, and remember Allah (swt). Start organizing the hours of your days so that you make years out of minutes and months out of seconds. Always seek forgiveness from Allah (swt) and his creators so you can live with a clean heart. Start to have goals for yourself so you can make yourself better in this dunya and with iman too. Backbiting is a sin that can erase all of your good deeds and is one of the worst sins one can do. Sins like backbiting, jealousy, and hypocrisy can keep you away from Allah (swt). Try to visit the sick, volunteer, and read more beneficial books to keep your heart clean. And Allah (swt) knows best.
